The latest biometric technology launched to ensure contactless journey at Dubai Airports
In collaboration with GDRFA, emaratech introduced the “Paperless Passenger Journey” system at Dubai Airports earlier this year to allow travelers to walk through the airport touchpoints by just showing their faces without showing their travel documents.
Utilizing the latest biometric technology which is a mix of facial and iris recognition, passengers can check in for their flights, complete immigration formalities, enter the Emirates lounge and board their flights, simply by strolling through the airport.
The smart gates empowered by emaratech were modified for the paperless journey. Passengers can now travel by showing their faces to the gates where your face becomes your passport. The cameras installed at the gates will guide the passengers through the immigration process.
The new project called “Paperless Passenger Journey” has now been launched at Dubai International Airports to create a contact-free travel journey and to cut down on queues in light of the Covid-19 pandemic.
